i walked on down the street
to see what i could find
there wasn't nothing there
it made me think i'd lost my mind
i'm going crazy
ain't nothing i can do
going crazy, yeah
i need some help from you

all i can say
it happened the other day
i looked the other way and my mind
it ran away

king size zero, don't you know
king size zero, don't it show
what you gonna do

worse than i do

try to set me free
or you can just
let me be, yeah...

4) Good Life (2:59)
written & recorded Chicago 1995
I tried to bring Brian's buzzing amp up as much as possible,
but it was in the same channel as the slide guitar. Oh well...
"I really like the sufferin'/Bufferin rhyme!" -Steve Taylor
Rick- vocals, guitar, slide
Brian Kruse- amp noise
thanks to Tim Abraham for loan of his guitar

we live the good life
got no trouble
got no strife
everybody just trying to get along

got no pain
got no sufferin'
no need to take
extra strength Bufferin
everybody doing really fine

livin' the good life
got a obedient dog
and a faithful wife
my career is made
bills are paid
isn't this what life's about
anyways?

if you don't understand this song
then maybe you'd better listen and sing along
and if you still don't understand
maybe you'd better ring a gong
because it's all coming down pretty soon
no i didn't rip this off bob dylan
all i'm trying to do is state my feelings
and the same thing can happen to you

they said i don't know

when they said...

trying to remember
what happened last december
and what do you think i wanna be
do you want to take me
and do you want to make me
something that isn't part of me
ooooh, what is it going to be

sitting on the rooftop
waiting for the rain to stop
and for the sun to set me free
reading in the paper
about a midnight caper
going with my wife to Jollibee
ooooh, what is it going to be
