ARSOV :: MINDLESS review
"New artists comes from all over of the globe these days. From the left and right side of the world, people are still composing music way into the night. These days we need to become more open-minded to outside ideas and beliefs. From “Slovenia” came a record I wasn’t expecting. Though, I did get to hear some of the early versions of these songs many months prior, it’s the studio re-working and remixes that make new CD now really stand out. “Mindless” starts off in a direction more artists should adhere to. The strict keeping of rules for production and real thoughts behind the music they sing about. Solidity in a song should be reflected in how much a listener can really feel passion from the performer. Their new CD is nicely arranged and the mastering is top notch. This being said, refreshing and very inviting is one way to speak about the group and this future release. Made up of 4 members they even feature a real Saxophone and Viola. It was to my delight that their tunes reminded me of a combination between U2, Sade and even Massive Attack. The songs “Goodbye” and “My Dear” are warm and fuzzy with a rich sonic delight. “Promise Me” is one of the tracks that I’m in love with right now. With the flickering of its heated words, its shines like a candle. A strong flame still illuminating itself, despite the harsh breezes of the cruel daily life. The whole CD makes me feel better about everything, and yes, I’ll admit it… “Arsov” makes me feel like caressing the world. For more information on this group check out their website.
